Suggested daily itinerary

Your guide meets you upon your arrival in Bressanone. If time permits, you take the gondola from Saint Andrea and reach the top of the Plose Mountain. From here, you start the first hike: a 5 hour loop along the High Route through beautiful alpine meadows and luxuriant larch forests, offering spectacular views across the valley of Sas de Putìa, considered one of the most beautiful mountains in the Dolomites.

(Dinner at the hotel; clients pay directly for lunch at the small rifugio on the trails.)
5 hours – 410 m / 1330 ft climb total
Difficulty: Easy

Today, you are driven along a panoramic road to a rifugio near the village of Vedla, where you spend the next 2 nights. In the late morning you start the hiking day. Along the way, you visit the malghe and the little church that forms the small village of Vedla, traditionally inhabited by cows and cow herders during the pasturing seasons. You continue east following the military road built by the Austrians during the First World War and reach the panoramic path of Mount Lavinores. From the summit of Sas de la Para (2462 m) you enjoy a magnificent panorama and the spectacular sunset on Croda Rossa.

(Breakfast at the hotel and dinner at the rifugio included; clients pay for lunch directly.)
3 – 4 hours, 500 m / 1620 ft climb total
Difficulty: Medium

From your rifugio (1966 m) you hike to the Rifugio Sennes (2116 m) and ascend to the foot of one the most impressive pinnacles of all the Dolomites: Croda del Becco (2810 m). From here, you walk downhill through a lunar landscape, southward towards the surprising alpine lakes of Fosses (2142 m) and Remeda Rossa (2120 m). On the way back to your rifugio, you have a glorious view of the Conca di Cortina.

(Breakfast, picnic lunch and dinner at the rifugio included.)
6 – 7 hours, 580 m / 1890 ft climb total
Difficulty: Medium Challenging

From your rifugio, you hike northwest towards a narrow path that brings you to the Rifugio Malga Munt de Senes (2176 m). You proceed through an evocative landscape to the path of Ju de Senes (2519 m) at the foot of the dramatic Muntejela de Senes (2787 m). You hike to the top passing along its vertical walls and sharp crests from where you enjoy the wonderful view of San Vigilio di Marebbe.

(Breakfast, picnic lunch and dinner at the rifugio included.)
6 – 7 hours, 820 m / 2670 ft climb total
Difficulty: Challenging

In the morning, you are transferred to the Lago di Misurina and take a ring hike of the Tre Cime di Lavaredo, whose three stark peaks jutting skywards could be said to serve as the very emblem of the Dolomites. Afterwards, you are transferred to your hotel upon the Lago di Braies.

(Breakfast, picnic lunch and dinner at the rifugio included.)

A private transfer brings you back to the train station of Bressanone. From here, a short ride to Milan puts you within easy reach of all of Italy. Please take note that for the tour in the Dolomites, even in the summer, we do recommend our clients to bring a pair of gloves, merino wool (or capilene) layers & socks. It can be cold in the Dolomites first thing in the morning.

In the Dolomites Hiking tour, we spend 1 night in Bressanone either at the Hotel Rosalpina www.rosalpina.eu in comfort or at the Hotel Elephant, www.hotelelephant.com in comfort-select. The next 2 nights are spent in a very friendly family owned rifugio located in San Vigilio. The final 2 nights are spent either at the Hotel Lago Di Braies, www.lagodibraies.com or www.steinwandterhof.it.

The tour begins with a pick up at the Bressanone Train Station. We are happy to advise the best train schedules to Bressanone from any city in Italy based on your travel schedule.
