Hike Houston''s Hermann Park & Brunch Afterwards
Hermann Park is Houston''s outstanding urban park, nearly 500 acres in size, and located just south of Downtown near the Texas Medical Center.
We will meet by the statue of Sam Houston. The hike will wind its way through the entire park, touring its many and varied sights. We''ll visit the Houston Garden Center, encircle the Golf Course, follow Braes Bayou to Hermann Park''s Forest Trails, and return by the Houston Zoo, McGovern Lake, Reflection Pool, and the Japanese Gardens. Along the way, we will enjoy great views of Downtown and the Medical Center, people-watching, and even some wildlife! Bring water, good walking shoes, & sunscreen. An informal brunch will follow, either in Bodegas Taco Shop or Café Express on Binz.
